Peanut butter and chocolate is muh life. Really, though. Give me a jar of nutella, peanut butter and a spoon and I’m 100% content.

Basically all my favorite desserts involve the peanut butter and chocolate combo.. dark chocolate espresso peanut butter cups, puppy chow, chocolate chip pancakes with peanut butter syrup (TRY IT), peanut butter chocolate chip cookies.

PB & chocolate is the dream team.

When General Mills approached me about this post I was all “Gotta make something healthy!” And immediately started wracking my brain for interesting granola bar recipes, trail mix recipes that weren’t already flooding pinterest, or maybe a parfait with cereal topping..? Something I eat every. single. day.

and then I was like NOPE — peanut butter chocolate DESSERT for the win!

Side Note: I hate to be the bearer of bad news buttttt most granola really isn’t very healthy. It’s loaded with sugar, artificial ingredients and very calorie dense which is why I opt for cinnamon chex, honey nut cheerios, or sometimes a no sugar added cereal like rice chex or original cheerios to add to my yogurt instead. Hehe sorry guys. (Read more tips here)

I don’t know what it’s like to live that gluten-free lifestyle. The only allergies I have are seasonal… which I could argue are the WORST allergies to have, but then I think about people who can’t eat all sorts of yummy foods and I’m like ok ok you win.

My roommate has to avoid gluten like the plague. Which is sad cuz I’m always making all sorts of gluten-filled goodies and she’s like k cool thx. BUT General Mills gluten free family is growing so I finally got to make a treat for both of us to enjoy. WOO!

P.S. A list of all their gluten free cereals can be found here for all you gluten intolerant folks!
