3 ingredient vegan baby banana muffins have no dairy, no salt, no sugar added. All you need is bananas, prunes, and self-rising flour for this easy vegan baby led weaning breakfast recipe!

3 ingredient baby banana muffins are so super simple and delicious!!

I always make a double batch because I love to snack on them as well and feel bad stealing them all from Isaiah.

Ingredients for Baby Banana Muffins:

Bananas – The riper the better!

Pureed Prunes – I love prunes because they help keep him regular, but you can add any of your baby’s favorite pureed fruit such as apple or pear.

I have also tested this recipe using coconut milk and it worked as well!

Self Rising Flour – If you don’t have self rising flour, you can simply use all purpose flour and add 1 ½ teaspoons of baking powder.

How to make Baby Banana Muffins:

Start by adding 2 medium-large bananas to a mixing bowl and mix on high. You could also add to a blender or food processor if you have one.

This makes 1 cup of mashed banana.

To your bowl add 1 cup of self-rising flour. If you don’t have self-rising flour, you can simply use all-purpose flour and add 1 ½ teaspoons of baking powder.

Once your dough has formed, add in 4oz pureed prunes.

I love prunes because they help keep him regular, but you can add any of your baby’s favorite pureed fruit such as apple or pear.

I have also tested this recipe using coconut milk and it worked as well!

Once your batter is combined, evenly distribute it into a greased mini muffin tin. I use olive oil or coconut oil cooking spray.

Bake at 350 for 10 minutes and allow them to cool before serving.

Store in the fridge for up to 5 days.

These baby banana muffins are SO fluffy, moist, and flavorful despite having no added sugars or salt!

Are muffins safe for babies?

These muffins are perfectly safe for babies because they don’t contain any honey or salt. Babies under 1 year old cannot have honey and you want to limit their salt intake.

The only other reason I would not serve a baby a muffin is if the texture were hard for them to chew or swallow.

Why can’t babies have salt?

According to Healthline, babies shouldn’t consume too much salt because their developing kidneys aren’t yet able to process large amounts of it.
