Crockpot Salmon
Crockpot Salmon is flaky, tender, and cooked to perfection when you set it and forget using your slow cooker!

As you may know, sometimes salmon can be hard to cook and you may have even had a bad batch from a restaurant once or twice. The thing about salmon is that if it is not cooked just right the consistency can be off and the flavor can be over fishy. By using the crockpot you never have to worry about that again!
Salmon is actually a superfood that I always encourage people to try just because it’s so good for you! Not to mention, unless you are vegan or vegetarian it fits into most lifestyle diets, even keto!

Yes, you can use frozen salmon filets, but be sure to let them thaw before adding them into the slow cooker.
Best Serving Suggestions To Go With Salmon
Salmon goes great with a side of veggies, a small salad, or even a slaw mix. Here are my favorite sides:
How To Make Creamy Lemon Salmon Sauce
If you want to top off your salmon before serving, simply add the juices from the crockpot to a small saucepan and cook on medium heat until it starts to boil for about 10-12 minutes. Lower the temperature and let it simmer for another 5 to 10 minutes. The sauce should thicken up but if it doesn’t you can make a simple cornstarch slurry to mix in.
Tips for Making the Best Slow Cooker Salmon
- While most crockpot recipes can continue to cook and be fine after the initial cooking time, the salmon should not be cooked any longer than 2 hours.
- Do not cook the salmon on high, use the low temperature only.
- The internal temperature before eating should be 145 degrees F.
- Don’t skip on the parchment paper. If the skin sticks to the bottom of the pot you will have a real mess once you finish.
How to Use Leftover Salmon
Some people don’t like fish reheated. So if you have some leftover you can add it to your salad, make a salmon dip, jazz up your mac and cheese, and even make a seafood casserole of some sort.
