Today I am going to be using an ingredient in this buffalo chicken dip that you probably have almost never seen on Hello Spoonful. I’m pretty sure I have even mentioned on my Youtube videos how I am not the biggest fan, but I’m changing my mind in this case.
Drum roll please…the ingredient I am referring to is mayo! I know you may be thinking that’s crazy (and maybe even a little gross) but it’s actually really delicious. This is how we are going to keep this recipe for buffalo chicken dip without cream cheese, dairy free!

So let me clear the air. I am not referring to Duke’s mayonnaise. I mean you could use that, but let’s go a little healthier.

Dairy Free Buffalo Chicken Dip Ingredients
- Chicken – you’ll need precooked chicken, so if you have some leftovers that’s great. You can also use rotisserie chicken if you are in a hurry.
- Mayonnaise – Primal kitchen has one that’s really great and can be used for those who follow Whole30. This is how we are going to make this buffalo chicken dip without cream cheese!
- Frank’s Red Hot Original – or your favorite hot sauce
- Coconut milk
- Herbs & Spices: garlic powder, onion powder, dill, parsley, paprika
- Top with green onions or chives for a garnish

How to Make Dairy Free Buffalo Chicken Dip without Cream Cheese
Spray a baking dish with non-stick cooking spray and preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Combine all of the ingredients in a medium bowl. Then transfer to the baking dish.
Bake for 20-25 minutes and add a drizzle of mayo on top followed by green onions or chives before serving!

Can You Make This Dairy Free Dip in the Crockpot?
Sure can! Combine all of the ingredients and place them in the slow cooker. For a mess free experience, put a crockpot liner in before you add the dip.
Cook on low for a couple of hours until the ingredients are combined.
If you plan on keeping the dip in the crockpot and leaving it on warm, just be sure to come back and stir it periodically.

Ingredients
- 3 Cups cooked and shredded chicken breast
- 8 oz mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup Frank’s Red Hot Original
- 1/4 cup coconut milk
- 2 tsp garlic powder
