Avocado Matcha Energy Balls | Vegan + Gluten Free
These vegan and gluten-free avocado matcha energy balls are ready in less than 30 minutes from start to finish! Enjoy these healthy matcha bliss balls for an afternoon snack or late-night treat.![]()
Bliss balls, energy balls, fat bombs, whatever you want to call them, I think we can all agree they’re one of the best snacks to have on-hand.
Lately, I’ve been loving no-bake desserts (see my 5 Ingredient Cookie Dough Balls, No-Bake Peanut Butter Protein Bars or Cookie Dough Cups for reference :)). Partially because it’s super hot in Atlanta and I don’t want to turn my oven or stovetop on, and partially because no-bake desserts typically take no time to make.
Take these matcha energy balls for example.
They’re ready in roughly 20 minutes from start to finish and require minimal ingredients or equipment!

I’ve always been a coffee drinker, I especially love it in my coffee banana smoothies, but there’s something about the earthy taste of matcha that I crave every now and then.
Not only do I crave the flavor, but matcha is also packed with health benefits which I love!
Some of the health benefits of matcha include:
- High in antioxidants
- Protects the liver
- Boosts brain function (Attention, memory, and reaction time)
- Helps prevent cancer
- Protects your heart
- Aids in weight loss (increases metabolism and fat burning)
You can read more about the health benefits of matcha in this article.

I rolled my matcha energy balls in a little coconut sugar because it reminded me of one of my favorite treats, snickerdoodle cookies. I have a vegan and gluten-free snickerdoodle cookie recipe if you’re a fan, too!
Something about that crumbly texture on the outside and the extra touch of sweetness just makes me happy!
Are you a fan of matcha?
I hope you will give these avocado matcha bliss balls a try if you are! And don’t forget to tag me on Instagram when you make them so I can post them to my stories!
Happy no-baking! 😉

Made this just now and they are surprisingly very good!!!! I used oat flour instead because I don’t have any almond flour or coconut flour at home … but the texture is very soft and isn’t very easy to hold. What can I do to make it more solid? Should I add more flour or nuts? Thank you for the easy recipe!
