Healthy Costco Must Haves

Check out these Healthy Costco Must-Haves from our most recent grocery haul!

I love shopping at Costco, although since it is just the two of us, we often don’t take advantage of all the deals because we don’t have a ton of space for bulk items. But I get asked all of the time what my favorites are, so I just wanted to show you guys the main items we typically get when we shop from there!

If you aren’t a reader and would rather watch the video, you can check out my Costco Must Haves 2021 Youtube video below! And don’t forget to subscribe! 🙂

Costco Must Haves: Pantry Items

Orgain Protein Powder

One of my favorites is the Orgain Plant-Based Protein Powder. It comes in a ton of flavors and is great for making shakes and baking! Neither one of us are strictly plant-based, but the flavor is amazing especially if you have brought protein in the past that you couldn’t stomach.

I actually made my Flourless Protein Brownies and these Protein Cookies using Orgain, so delicious!

Orgain Protein Shakes

In the same department, we also grabbed a case of premade Orgain Chocolate Shakes. These are perfect for on the go and post-workout and can be stored in the pantry or refrigerated.

If you’re not a fan of pre-made protein shakes, you should definitely check out my  Dairy-Free Coffee Banana Smoothie Recipe!

Parm Crisps – Everything Flavored

These Everything Parm Crisps are SO GOOD! But I will warn you, the flavor is intense and potent!

These parmesan crisps would be great on a salad to substitute for croutons because they are crunchy. You could also use them as a topper on baked mac and cheese or crumble them up for breading on chicken tenders. Parm crisps only contain simple ingredients so perfect for a healthy, low-carb snack too.

RX Bars

I’ve told you guys before on Instagram and in my Trader Joe’s Haul that I really like RX bars because they are natural compared to other protein bars, which contain a ton of added ingredients. If you aren’t a fan of store-bought bars, try my Cookie Dough Protein Bars or my No Bake Peanut Butter Oatmeal Protein Bars, both are seriously amazing!

Paesana Marinara Sauce

Another new find for me! One of the main reasons I grabbed this Paesana Marinara Sauce because there’s no added sugar.

I typically just make my own 6 Ingredient No Sugar Added Marinara, but I like having some on hand in the pantry just in case.

One of my go-to 15-minute dinner recipes is this Goat Cheese Pasta Recipe.

Cashews

We try to buy these in bulk because, as you know, nuts can be expensive at your local grocery store. My other favorite is the Chili Lime Cashews from Trader Joe’s. But these are just regular, which I may try to roast myself!

Special K Cereal

If you follow me on Instagram you know Michael and I are addicted to yogurt bowls. These are good for breakfast, but we usually have them at the end of the night for dessert. We load our bowls up with yogurt, Special K, fiber cereal, peanut butter, and chocolate chips. So good!

Spindrift Sparkling Water

This is my all-time favorite sparkling water! No extra ingredients, just carbonated water, and fresh fruit juice depending on the flavor you buy.

Spindrift has also been a lifesaver during my pregnancy. It’s one of my 15 pregnancy essentials. It’s helped with nausea and also helped me stay hydrated!

Costco Must Haves – Freezer and Refrigerator Items

Angelic Bakehouse Sprouted Bread

This bread comes in a three-pack which I know sounds excessive for two people, but we refrigerate one loaf and freeze the other two. We are eggs and toast kind of people, so we go through it kind of fast! Not to mention since it’s sprouted bread, it’s really easy to digest and only has simple ingredients.

Organic Guacamole

You have to try their guac! I am very particular and only like a few brands with this Kirkland Brand being one of them. We eat guac all of the time so we always keep it on hand. Fresh avocados seem to go bad fast after I buy them, so we just prefer this instead.

Organic French Green Beans

Just stepping out of the box with these because sometimes when we get in a routine we eat the same thing all of the time. Not to mention a great deal for the bigger package. We ended up making garlic roasted green beans with lightened up twice baked potatoes and steak for dinner! SO good! You can find that whole meal in this cooking video.

Frozen Brussels Sprouts

I think these are such great winter veggies, so we have been eating this a lot lately and you can use them in so many ways! One of my favorites is this Brussels Sprout Salad or just roasting them with olive oil and seasoning.

Kirkland’s Sweet Kale Salad

You have heard me say in my “15 Food NOT To Buy At The Grocery Store” blog post and video that I typically don’t buy a bagged salad, but this is an exception. I love this mixture and it comes with a dressing that is delicious! Don’t worry because the dressing is on the side, so you can use it or you don’t have to.

Silk Almond Milk

This is our favorite milk so we use it all of the time. It does come in a 3 pack so be prepared to have a place to store the rest.

Goat Cheese

Again I know this bulk pack seems excessive but we actually eat goat cheese a lot! We try to keep a high protein vegetarian meal in rotation so we add this to pasta, veggies, etc.

Honeycrisp Apples

You know I’m team pink lady all the way when it comes to apples, but these looked so good. This is also my next favorite variety behind pink lady apples. Got extra apples on hand? Try making my healthy baked apples in the air fryer or Apple Pie Cookies!

Oikos Triple Zero Blended Greek Yogurt

These come in an 18 pack so they last a while and come in a wide variety of flavors. I actually like the plain but Micheal would kill me if I didn’t bring home flavored yogurt, so these are our go-to. Fage is actually my favorite brand of greek yogurt!

Tikka Masala

These come in a two-pack, we actually ate one last night and I went ahead and froze this one. We like to cook one down and throw it over cauliflower rice with veggies. They also have other curries to choose from!

Columbus Turkey Breast

You can find this in the refrigerated section and they also have turkey in the Kirklands brand which is Costco’s brand but we just prefer this one. We eat a ton of turkey so I’m freezing this for later until we finish what we have.

Kirkland’s Vegetable Stir Fry Blend

We used to live off of this but I actually forgot about it until I saw this big bag, I was so excited. I mentioned that we usually eat the same veggies, so this brings a great variety!

I like throwing these in my Shrimp Stir Fry, so easy and delicious! Since the bag is huge just make sure you have room to store it in the freezer.
