I feel like a lot of people forget about shrimp being an easy healthy dinner option. When we think of seafood, most of us think of salmon, but sometimes that can get old.
So I decided to spice things up, literally, with an easy shrimp recipe that can be used as a main course, added to salad, wraps, and even tacos!
If you are a pasta lover, don’t forget that the options are endless when pairing shrimp and veggies!
In case you were wondering, protein isn’t the only thing shrimp has to offer. One serving is also full of antioxidants and omega-3s. So if you aren’t a huge fish fan, but you can handle shrimp, you can get the same nutrition benefits.

How To Make Blackened Shrimp
We are including the stove top instructions, but you can also bake them after they have been seasoned. If you choose to grill, just place them on skewers so they don’t fall through the grates.
Take the shrimp out of the shells and devein if needed. After rinsing, pat them dry with a paper towel.
Add the shrimp to a bowl and coat evenly with olive oil. Once you have all of your spices combined, coat the shrimp.

Preheat your skillet over medium-high heat with just a little bit of oil. Once it comes to temperature add the shrimp.
Depending on the size, they should only take about 5-7 minutes to cook, flipping halfway through.
When the shrimp start turning a lighter color and curling up, it’s time to flip. Over-cooking them could lead to the shrimp tasting rubbery.
