Edible Vegan Cookie Dough Balls

Edible Vegan Cookie Dough Balls are made with whole ingredients and mixed with sprinkles to make them Funfetti! Perfect for a snack or dessert and making them couldn’t be easier!

Just by the title, you know this vegan cookie dough is safe to eat because they are eggless. Which is exactly what everyone worries about when it comes to raw cookie dough.

Not only are these perfect for any night of the week, but kids love them and they make a great addition to parties!

Some people run when they hear vegan if that is not the lifestyle they are leading. In this case, it is perfect because it simply means that there are no eggs added, and of course no other dairy products. So Funfetti cookie dough balls are meant for everyone!

What’s In Edible Vegan Cookie Dough?

Cashew Butter – Feel free to swap this out for the nut butter of your choice. Just make sure it’s all-natural to keep the recipe as healthy as possible.

Maple Syrup – The darker syrup you use, the more minerals and antioxidants are in it. You can use light or dark.

Oat Flour – Snag some at your local grocery store or you can make your own! Simply blend gluten-free oats until they are powder, and BOOM you have oat flour. If you don’t mind gluten, you can use whatever oats you would like.

Rainbow sprinkles – Don’t forget these! They are what makes this cookie so much fun!

Other ingredients: salt, vanilla extract, almond extract

Can I Bake This Cookie Dough?

No. For the sake of this recipe, there are ingredients left out that are essential when baking cookies. If you are looking for some vegan cookie options that are bakeable try these:

Should I Heat My Flour Before Making Vegan Cookie Dough?

You don’t have to for my version. If you are wondering what this is all about some flours needed to be heated before raw consumption because there could be bacteria in it. This is when you would use the microwave if it was a no-bake dish. But since we are using oat flour, it has already been heated during the process of turning it to flour. Almond flour is the same way for future reference.

How Long Does It Last?

This edible vegan cookie dough lasts up to 6 days in the refrigerator. By day 3 or 4 sometimes the texture starts to change, so I recommend eating it before then. Trust me this won’t be a problem 🙂

Tips for Storing

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. When it is left at room temperature too long it gets a little doughier.

If you want to freeze the cookie dough for later, wrap in plastic wrap prior to freezing. This gives a little bit of protection when it comes to freezer burn.
