You’ll notice that I wrote this recipe as a pasta dish, but honestly, it would be great for any dish that calls for a tomato-based sauce. If you love spicy, all you have to do is add a few more red pepper flakes or your favorite pepper for an extra kick!
Not sure if you are seeing a trend here, but over the last few weeks we have been killing the pasta dishes, so this week was no different!

If you are looking to try protein pasta, I highly recommend Banza! It tastes the same as regular except it has more protein, fewer carbs, and is gluten free! So all around a winner in my book!
This red pepper sauce would also be the perfect addition to zucchini boats and honestly, you could probably dice up other veggies to sneak them in.

How To Store
If you think you will have leftovers instead of tossing it, save it for later! It’s also great to make in a double batch so you can use it throughout the week!
You can store it in a mason jar in the fridge or even freeze it so it stays fresher longer.
To reheat, bring it to room temperature and add in the hot cooked pasta. You can also heat it over very low heat, but stir it constantly so the basil doesn’t burn.
